As a child, my second story bedroom looked out at a beautiful large tree. I used to sit at my window and day dream about how she would look with a tree house built just for me. I loved to watch her branches grow and leaves change. This was the first tree that inspired me and where my love for trees began. She was truly a blessing and I will always remember her.

My first gemstones came from a box of miscellaneous belongings of my grandmother. No one wanted anything that was in that box and I being the curious 10-year-old that I was rummaged through it to find anything that might remind me of my grandmother. I was very close to my grandmother and would miss her dearly and wanted at least one thing of hers. I found in the box a little bag of rocks and a few other items. At the time, I was unaware that I had found gemstones that later would become some of the most important stones (agates) I will ever possess. I still have those "rocks" today and hold them close to me often and each time I do I feel close to my grandmother again and protected.

I believe that trees and stones are symbols of love, hope, peace, and faith. They can speak to us, heal us, love us, protect us, and nourish our souls. They hold many blessings for us and all we have to do is ask.

Creating hand-crafted Tree of Life and Bohemian inspired art pieces to wear or decorate the home is one of my greatest joys in my life aside from my children. Taking custom requests and co-creating something extraordinary and original just for others is exciting and keeps my craft interesting. I have a love, and need, for variety! That is why trees are so wonderful to create, each is uniquely different and beautiful.
